Welcome back to the blog!
It has been exactly a year since my last posting. I often thought about posting photos and things but I wanted to wait to make it something special such as this - returing to the blog on the same day as my last posting but a year later. I am not sure what it all means but I want to think that it is something special. I will try to be deligent from now on. I have so many photos I need to upload here. On the side note, we didn't carve pumpkins this year. I miss it very much and I am not sure what had happened that we didn't get to it this year. Oh, well, life will go on.

Halloween 2011 - 4th Annual Pumpkin Carving (October 29, 2011)
This is the fourth year I get together with my good friends, Sue and Nancy, to carve pumpkins for Halloween. Nancy had her grandson to take care of that night so we all met at her place. She grilled some smoked pork for supper and that was excellent. Unfortunately, I forgot to take my camera with me so I had to use my phone to take photos. The quality of them are not the greatest; however, I was able to capture our fine work. Here are photos from that night.

Travel to Upper Michigan
During this year's Labor day weekend, we decided to go visit one of Darryl's sister, Lani, who runs a copper mine near Copper Harbor in U.P. (Upper Michigan). We were up there 10 years ago but our trip had gotten shortened due to an infection Darryl had on his tooth. It took 10 years for us to ever make this trip again and we were very excited about it. Here are some shots from our trip.
Photography Resolution
I made a resolution to take a photo a day back in August. The first day, I was determined to carry this out so I took some photos around the house. Alas, then nothing had happened after that first day. I had to do something in order to force myself to go out and take pictures. As one of my attempts, I contacted a friend of mine who is also interested in photography to work together. She was a good model for me but unfortunately, I wasn't a good model for her. Here are some of the shots I got from that day. After all, I was only out for two days to take photos in August. Two days out of thirty one days equal to 6% which is an epic fail.
