During this year's Labor day weekend, we decided to go visit one of Darryl's sister, Lani, who runs a copper mine near Copper Harbor in U.P. (Upper Michigan). We were up there 10 years ago but our trip had gotten shortened due to an infection Darryl had on his tooth. It took 10 years for us to ever make this trip again and we were very excited about it. Here are some shots from our trip.

Trip to Korea - Day #2 - Arrival (April 30, 2011)
Our flight to Detroit from Kalamazoo was delayed a bit (there is no surprise in that) and we had just enough time to change our seats and catch our next flight to Incheon. We were originally assigned to two seperate middles seats in the same row. The lady at the ticket counter was kind enough to re-arrange our seats so we were able to sit together. It was a good thing since we had to be on the plane for so long (13 hours and 17 minutes). We met a nice man from Detroit whose son is teaching English in Seoul. He sat next to me so we had some nice conversations throughout our flight together. At the end of our flight - two hours before we landed, I got very sick. I think it has to do with the pressure change, lack of ventilation, and horrible turbulance due to a storm. It took about 5 hours for me to recoup. My uncle, aunt, and a cousin came to the airport to pick us up in their shiny new car. It rained hard so we were very appreciative that they came to meet us. After we got home and I got recovered from the sickness, we went out to dinner. Here are some photos of dinner which was called "Bossam" (steamed pork wrapped in a lettuce leaf).

Trip to Korea - Day #1 - Departure (April 29, 2011)
We have been trying to eat up all perishable food items before leaving for Korea. We had the last portion of the Easter eggs for breakfast just before we left for the airport.
We were excited to be on our way to Korea and also excited to fly out of our new airport. Granted that Kalamazoo is such a small airport and there are not many flights out of it. We were so proud to see the place decorated with so many interesting art pieces. I have attached some of the art pieces displayed.

Trip to Kentucky
I traveled to Kentucky two summers ago. While I was there, I visited various places such as the Jim Beam Distillery, a Coca-Cola Musuem, Mammoth Cave, Cumberland Gap, Cumberland Falls, etc. I took over 600 pictures while I was visiting this beautiful state; however, these photos got downloaded from the camera to the computer but never made it out of my laptop. I finally decided to print some of the photos.
