Korea - Day #9 (May 7, 2011) - Haesindang in Samchuck

We got up at 5:30 in the morning to leave for Haesindang in Samchuck which was four hours away from Seoul.  When we got there, one of the local men met us at the gate.  He wasn't really thrilled to see Darryl who was the only foreigner at the park.  Here is the conversation we had with him.

Old man:  Why did you bring a foreigner (pointing at Darryl) here?  It is embarrassing.  This foreigner will think less of Koreans for building such a park.
My uncle:  He (pointing at Darryl) searched the Internet and found this place.  I, as a Korean, didn't even knowabout it.  He wanted to come here so I drove four hours to get here from Seoul.
Old man:  Oh, if that is the case, why don't you take him to the top of the park?  There is a museum explaining what this park is all about.

The old man was finally happy and left us alone.  These photos are not suitable for some people so be aware.  I will let the pictures speak for themselves.
